Will Aid Week

Every year, 9 well-renowned UK charities join forces with the legal profession for Will Aid Month.

Will Aid month is an opportunity to arrange your affairs with a legal stamp, only with a twist. Local lawyers are prepared to waive their Will writing fee for one month only, and instead encourage you to donate the legal costs to one of the participating charities. With one fell swoop, you can ensure that your hard earned wealth is distributed as per your preference whilst bestowing a significant sum to those in need.

In a time where ActionAid are appealing for just £10 a month to secure an education for 4 children, the legal fee can make a real difference. As recommended by Will Aid themselves, the suggested voluntary donation for a basic Will is £95. Should you and your spouse like to draw a pair of mirror Wills, it is in the region of £150.

A will is an essential document for all, for those of you who are wondering what happens should you die without having made a Will, please do read our notes on Intestacy. Your intended beneficiaries could quickly find themselves without an inheritance.

Should you like to discuss Will and/or Inheritance Tax planning with us further, please do get in touch with the office. Otherwise, you can find a local, participating lawyer here.
